ABOUT THE SHOP
Senoia Bicycle is a full-service bicycle repair and retail shop located on Main Street in downtown Senoia, Georgia. It is the only authorized Specialized dealer in a 40-mile radius. The shop caters to many different cycling segments including: high level Road, Mountain Biking, as well as Fitness and Kids bicycles. In addition to bike for sale, the store has a full line of accessories, apparel and parts. The shop also has certified mechanics to provide repairs and installations for customers as well as certified Body Geometry fit specialist. Senoia Bicycle previously Senoia Cycle Works is located on Main Street in the small town of Senoia Ga. The shop is operated out of a historic building in the heart of both a cycling destination haven and the filming location for The Walking Dead and major motion pictures like Driving Miss Daisy, Fried Green Tomatoes and Footloose.

OUR HISTORY
Senoia Cycle Works originally opened in 2012 by local restaurateur couple Frank & Wendy MaGuire and local bike mechanic Ty Ridgway, who all shared a passion for riding. Ty and the Maguires, alongside Chris Eckhardt, small business major at Auburn University and Deborah Tyler from a corporate background, all had the vision to open a bike shop in November of 2012 and on December 1, 2012 Senoia Cycle Works was opened on 66 Main Street Downtown Senoia.

NEW OWNERS
As of April 2017, Senoia Cycle Works was purchased by Carter and Taylor Schmeck transplants from Northern California and local residents of Senoia.  The shop’s primary owner, Carter Schmeck has a 35-year history in high level competitive cycling, 15 years of retail bicycle business experience, and over 30 years of business success in both the outdoor and entertainment industries. Behind the scenes, Carter’s wife Taylor manages the operating procedures, web and social media components of the company.  Taylor has 15 years’ experience as a media and operations manager in their prior companies. Although she may not be the biggest bike racer in the shop, she brings to the table experience in business operation and an enthusiasm of creating a welcoming environment at the bike shop and fellowship within the cycling community. As of 2021, we are so excited to see how much the community has grown and welcomed us into it. The Senoia Bicycle family continues to grow and serve our cycling community.
